Happy 100th Birthday Roald Dahl! (Water Colour Painting)

Matilda Wormwood
To celebrate Roald Dahl's 100th birthday, my class did some art. We did a

drawing of a character from one of Roald Dahl's books and we painted them with water colour paints. We mixed the paints to get the right colours and the mixing was a lot of fun. The result is satisfying. The hardest part was probably drawing the book, because I'm not really good at drawing books. Next time I will try to paint a bit faster and not get distracted by the colour mixing... Anyway, I really like how light the colours turned out and I think it looks really pretty.

Fun Facts - Kiwi's (Mini Project)

My reading group read a NF (Non Fiction) story called On The Mend. We did a mini-project about kiwi's and I wrote a Q&A/ Facts about K2 the kiwi, and facts about kiwi's in general. I enjoyed doing this, although I did find it a bit difficult to find some good facts about K2 the kiwi, so I just wrote down the questions and answers from the book (slide 4), and I also took out the most important bits of the story and put them in order (2nd slide).
